Yantian District is the birthplace of the national gold and jewelry processing industry. It is home to three leading domestic players in this field Chow Tai Fook, the leading gold and jewelry retailer in China; Batar, the leading gold processing company in terms of annual production and sales volume; and Yuehao, the leading gold wholesale company in China. Yantian District will promote the construction of four major centers in gold and jewelry, including design and research, intelligent manufacturing, brand marketing, and exhibition trading. The aim is to create a modern fashion industry cluster with gold and jewelry as its core.
